I've been getting excited all week to hop on the plane tomorrow that will take me away from Cincinnati, work, and residual snow. But ofcourse they know you want to go on vacation and so they throw all the curve balls that can happen and ofcourse it all needs to be completed prior to hopping on that plane!
Along the way, people do ask where we are going and why we chose to visit Palm Springs. But the oddest question that people have been asking me is "Are you taking Owen?" I wouldn't think much of it if it were just a person here and there but literally over the course of this week I've been asked closer to 10+ times. So I wonder is it that I work with some crazy cats who vacation without their children on a frequent basis or do people think I just jet on my merry way and leave behind Owen...Hmmm...where did they think we'd leave him??
I've made it through work and now I'm off to pack!

you know, we got asked that question thousands of times when we told people we were going to italy. i wasnt sure if they expected us to leave maia in the closet with a bowl of food and water or what. i ended up telling people (after counting to 10 so i wouldnt bite their heads off) was that this was a family vacation (opposed to a romantic getaway - whatever the freak that is) and although small and not all right in the head, we considered her part of the family.
